Memphis TN

As events worked out through the day, the only time I had to run my eight miles was in the couple of hours we had while waiting for our load to Indianapolis. The shipper had a large yard, but it is busy that time of day I worked out a circut that did not cross any high traffic areas but allowed me to stay near the designated parking for outside carriers. I was dismayed to find that a lap was only a tenth of a mile. I just kept putting one foot in front of the other, though, and about 80 laps later had my eight miles in for the day.

Laredo TX

The story today was the heat. At five miles I began gettimg dizzy and backed my 9:30 pace back to 10:00. Then the mind games started. My brain wanted me to stop being uncomfortable, turn around on the northbound frontage road and head back to the truckdtop. After all, ten miles is plenty in 92 degree heat when the humidity is above 95 percent. The problem with that, said my will, is that we had set out to run 13 miles and to return on the northbound frontage road
After a bit of back-and-forth, will finally trumped the contest by pointing out that we could spend five miles on the return trip feeling like a failure on the southbound road, or spend the trip back feeling like a winner on the northbound road.

13 miles. So there.

Ozona TX

I guess this is the week for me to run at night. I ran 5.5 miles in 52 minutes in the area around the Ozona Truckstop. At mile 372 on I-10, we were about six miles from town so I used an area that looked like an old RV park set-up as a track. I would take a lap around the truckstop/restaurant/hotel/c-store/car museum to change the scenery

Henderson CO

I had planned on running seven miles. When plotting my route, I thought I would like to see how far along the construction of the South Platte River Path had come. I found a dead end instead. Although my question was answered, I had to backtrack and find another way home

10 miles in 100 minutes. Sunny and high 60's.

Henderson with Cindy

We tried something new today during my 15 mile run. Cindy rode het bike along with me while I ran. The idea worked out well despite two tire repairs. Cindy stopped at 13 miles when we happened by the house.

Ruther Glenn VA

I ran five miles in 50 min. Right knee had a few twinges of pain near 4.5. I had jumped over some water and between concrete beams, might want to avoid too much of that activity.

Middletown PA

While we were waiting to load I ran some repeats down their dock, jogging back.

My legs were sore from my long run, especially my hamstrings. Stretching them out with some running felt good
