I started out to run 15 miles this morning, but mismanaged my route and ended up with 16 miles.

Some motorcycle cops doing speed enforcement on Int'l Blvd clocked me at 5 mph. They were about right, I finished in 170 minutes. I bumped my speed up on the last two miles in the interest of traing my body to accept reverse splits. (In case I decide to run the marathon with shorter and ahorter mile split times).

I walked four miles with Cindy today. We enjoyed the scenery along the Columbia River near the Jubitz Truckstop. A marina stretches along the banks just across from Jantzen Beach Island. The picture is of a truck we saw in the Jubitz lot.

You know the best way to get yourself to run ten miles? Run five miles away from your truck with no way back.

Boise has a great system of trails and parks along the Boise River. I ran 10.5 miles in just under two hours. A bit off my marathon pace, but this was the first time I made ten miles since I broke my ankle and foot.
