I did some hill work because, well, because there was one. A road goes over the ridge behind the Flying J truckstop. I took in the view then ran through a neighborhood with a no-trucks-allowed sign outside of it. A lap around the parking lot finished up a three-mile distance.

Dallas TX

Windy today, and we needed a shower, so Cindy and I decided to exercise at a Ballys gym. Our trusty Blackberry Google Maps search showed one nearby that we had never been to in Dallas. After finding that we could park near the facility, I ran seven miles on the treadmill in 70 minutes. Then I cranked my pace up to 8:30/mi for a half-mile and warmed down for another half-mile. Total of eight miles.

70 degrees outside, seemed like 90 degrees in the gym. Dallas people do not turn on the a/c for 70 degrees, they like it warm.

El Paso TX

The sun was going down as I ran seven miles this evening along the frontage road near a cluster of truckstops on the east side of town. Tempo run, took about 64 minutes. My goal was ten-minute miles, so I was on-track (not literally, no track at the Flying J)

Dayton OH

I ran three miles at a nine-minute tempo, then another at a ten-minute tempo. I used the treadmill at Bally's. Then I soaked in the hottub and watched the snow come down.

Afterward we got a pizza from the Papa Johns in the same strip mall as the Ballys. Why do they always have unhealthy restaurants near gyms?

Today I did some speed work in the parking lot of a casino while waiting for our company to satcom us about the location of an empty trailer for us to use for our next load.
